National Mulligan Day

Today is National Mulligan Day. I’m not a golfer (I quit one day after losing all of my balls and one of my clubs while still on the front nine), but I do appreciate the idea of being allowed a do-over. A chance to say, “I know I could do better if given another chance.”

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
~ James R. Sherman

I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning.
~ J.B. Priestly

Failure is the opportunity to start over again more intelligently.
~ Henry Ford

If you have made mistakes, even serious ones, there is always another chance for you. What we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down.
~ Mary Pickford

Celebrate today by giving yourself a do-over on anything you’ve done in the past week where you know you could do better given a second chance. As for me, I’m headed to Dairy Queen. There’s a Blizzard I’m confident I could eat better.
