For my cover story on the Gourds (LoneStarMusic Magazine FebMar2009), I was fortunate to have my lovely bride take some photos – one of which we used for the cover. She shot the band in the courtyard of Gruene Hall after their soundcheck. Here are a few of the shots from that day.
While writing the story, Steve Dorse provided great assistance. As we went to press, he also provided a great poster that Claude Bernard had hand-drawn with crayons between the band’s soundcheck and set on June 26th of 1997. That poster is also included here.
